Job summary

Responsibilities

  • Raw Materials Compliance and Set Up - ensure approvals, specs and standards are met across sites and customers.
  • Quality Management Systems - manage and update QMS docs to align with accreditations and legislation.
  • Inbound Supply Chain compliance and Set Up - apply standards and maintain legal controls for service suppliers and product controls.
  • Audit - establish and maintain internal auditing against QMS with timely closures.
  • Management and support - support senior team and promote QA culture across inbound logistics.
  • Site and central Interaction - engage with central functions and sites to align compliance controls.
  • Communication - communicate technical issues and horizon scan future concerns with GC technical teams.
  • Health and Safety - operate safely and support continuous improvement in HSE.

Inbound Supply Chain Compliance Manager

Role Purpose:

Manage compliance for inbound supply chain, this may include; Raw Materials, Packaging control, Quality Systems and Technical Administration. Interfacing and providing effective communication with group services, sites, suppliers and authorities.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Raw Materials Compliance and Set Up - ensure all raw material product approvals, specs, and other standards are compliant with site, group and customer requirements, and details are set up in relevant systems before launch. Any issues should be proactively dealt with and escalated to the relevant technical manager.
  • Quality Management Systems - Manage and develop the Quality Management System across the inbound logistics functions, ensuring that all QMS documentation is up to date, relevant & controlled and meets the requirements of accreditations held, legislation, industry standards and Greencore group. Where requirements for Inbound Supply chain are not specified, or not considered complete enough, then review customer, business and industry codes of practice (including AEO and other related areas) and implement agreed procedures and controls, updating Update QMS as appropriate, communicating to the business, central technical and sites effectively
  • Inbound Supply Chain compliance and Set Up - Understand and apply relevant standards, codes of practice and ensure all legal requirements are achieved and maintained to ensure effective controls for assuring supply chain integrity and security. Including administration of relevant set up information for service suppliers and product controls through risk assessment. Communicating integrity controls for sites receiving materials through inbound logistics operation.
  • Audit - To establish and maintain a process of internal auditing against the QMS to ensure compliance, actions are communicated and closed out within agreed timescales to drive standards and compliance. To establish or review and amend procedures as required by accreditations held, new business initiatives or new internal systems.
  • Management and support - Proactively participate in the Senior team, provide practical support across the different functional teams in inbound logistics, to drive to promote a Quality Assurance culture in the business
  • Site and central Interaction.Proactively engage with central functions and all sites receiving materials through BIL, communicating and aligning Inbound Logistics compliance controls.
  • Communication - To positively communicate technical issues and horizon scan future concerns. To collate information relating to food issues / scares and similar events and communicate to Technical Management Team and other key business interfaces as required. Communication with GC Central technical function, Site Technical teams and Inbound Logistics SLT
  • Health and Safety - To operate in a safe working manner and support the site/business on continuous improvement relating to health, safety and the environment.
