Job summary

Greencore is recruiting an experienced Supply Chain Manager on a 2-year FTC to cover a major systems integration programme across sites. Starting at Greencore Park Royal, the role offers 4 x 6-month rotations with January 2027 start, to build broad experience across different sites and teams in Supply Chain operations.

You will lead a supply chain team for a manufacturing unit, drive budgeting, forecasting, planning, and contracting, and advance a safety-first culture while delivering business

Qualifications

• Experience across the supply chain functions including forecasting, planning, SOPs, inventory, warehousing and distribution

Responsibilities

• Lead a supply chain team for a manufacturing unit to deliver business plans and targets
• Implement supply chain strategy to meet budgeted performance and objectives
• Provide leadership to keep the team safe, engaged and performing
• Promote safety policies and compliance across all operations and third parties
• Forecasting, planning, stock control and distribution across locations to meet customer service
• Oversee Sales and Operating Planning to ensure capacity, stocks and labour meet orders optimally
• Negotiate and manage third party contracts to minimise costs and ensure service
• Act as Supply Chain lead in cross-functional projects and changes

We’re looking for an experienced Supply Chain professional to join us on a 2 year FTC in a site-based role, providing cover for our Supply Chain Managers as they focus on a major systems integration programme across our sites.

Starting at Greencore Park Royal, you’ll take on a 6-month rotation, before moving to another site as the programme progresses. We are looking for someone to start in role in January 2027.

Over 2 years, you’ll complete 4 6-month rotations, providing valuable experience across different sites, teams and Supply Chain operations.

What you’ll be doing

As Supply Chain Manager, you willlead a supply chain team, for a manufacturing unit, to ensure that functional capability and team performance are built and directed to deliver business plans and targets.

• Implement the agreed supply chain strategy to achieve budgeted business performance and build the functional capability to deliver business strategic objectives
• Provide leadership and direction to ensure that across the business the supply chain team are kept safe, engaged, focused, developed and delivering to their potential
• Promote compliance with and the improvement of safe operating policies and practices across all supply chain operations within the business, including third parties to embed a safety first culture within the working environment
• Identify new/emerging legal or customer led audit requirements and develop plans to achieve compliance, securing funds if necessary to build systems and processes to maximise adherence to policy
• Ensure forecasting, planning, material requisitions, stock control, warehousing and distribution processes are in place at all locations to ensure customer service expectations are met in the most efficient and cost effective manner
• Oversee the deployment of the Sales and Operating planning process to ensure sufficient production capacity, stocks or finished goods and raw materials, and labour are in place to meet customer orders at the best optimum cost
• Together with Purchasing, negotiate and manage third party contracts to minimise costs, build effective working relationships and ensure service delivery
• Act as the Supply Chain lead in cross functional/customer projects to ensure that all developments include collaborative working which results in successful new implementations and ongoing service improvement

• Experience across all supply chain functions (forecasting, production planning and scheduling, standard operating procedure (SOP), inventory management, warehousing, distribution planning, distribution operations, third-party logistics management)
