Job summary

Vivo Consulting is seeking a motivated in vivo pharmacology specialist with expertise in rodent studies to support in vivo models for preclinical research. This lab-based role partners with our client biotech or pharma companies.

You will plan and perform in vivo preclinical studies, generate protocols, maintain records, and ensure regulatory and safety standards are met. A team-oriented role with independence in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• BSc degree with significant lab-based experience in pharma/biotech
• HO licence 1-4 including rodent dosing, behavioural testing, surgical techniques, tissue dissections
• Excellent organisational, problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to manage data entry, recording and report writing

Responsibilities

• Planning and hands-on execution of in vivo preclinical studies
• Generating high-quality protocols/study plans and carrying out client study requests within agreed timelines
• Generating and maintaining clear experimental records
• Good data entry skills and interpretation of results, and communicating results informally
• Understanding the science of relevant disease models
• Collaborative hands-on member of the in vivo team to support overall work
• Ensuring appropriate use of animals in compliance with regulatory requirements and internal standards
• Adherence to SOPs, Health and Safety and regulatory requirements
• Use best judgment to carry out work to the highest standard
• Interact with clients when required and build working relationships
