Job summary

Transpharmation Ltd. is seeking a motivated in vivo pharmacology specialist with hands-on experience in rodent studies to support preclinical research projects for client biotech or pharma companies.

The role involves planning and executing in vivo studies, developing study plans, maintaining clear records, and communicating results to the team, while ensuring regulatory compliance and data integrity in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• BSc degree with significant lab-based experience, preferably in pharma/biotech.
• HO licence 1-4 covering rodent dosing, behavioural testing, surgical techniques, tissue dissections.
• Ability to manage data entry, data recording, and basic data analysis and reporting.
• Excellent organisational, problem-solving and communication skills; ability to work in a team or independently.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute in vivo preclinical studies.
• Generate and maintain protocols/study plans and respond to client study requests.

JOB SUMMARY

A motivated and pro-active in vivo pharmacology individual with expertise in in vivo studies, specifically rodent studies. This lab-based role supports in vivo models for preclinical research studies for our client biotech or pharma companies.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Activities

• Planning and hands-on execution of in vivo preclinical studies
• Generating high-quality protocols/study plans and carrying out client study requests within agreed timelines.
• Generating and maintaining clear experimental records
• Good data entry skills and interpretation of the results, ability to communicate results via informal discussions
• Has a good understanding of the science of the relevant disease models
• Be an effective, collaborative hands-on member of the in vivo team, contributing to the overall work of the team as required
• Ensuring appropriate use of animals in compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal standards
• Ensuring all Standard Operating Procedures, Health and Safety and regulatory requirements are adhered to
• Using best judgment to carry out work to the highest standard

• Supports data entry and study documentation in relation to ethics and welfare.
• May start to present results in lab meetings.
• Consults with supervisor when difficulties arise that cannot be readily resolved.
• Seeks input as needed from supervisor or other scientific staff for guidance

Qualifications

EDUCATION

• BSc degree with significant relevant lab-based experience, preferably in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry or a similar HNC in Biology, Pharmacology, Neuroscience, or a related discipline.
• HO licence 1-4, including rodent dosing, behavioural testing, surgical techniques, tissue dissections

Experience

• Ability to manage data entry, and data recording, some experience in analysing data and report writing
• Excellent organisational, problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to work well within a team, as well as independently and proactively
