Job summary

Boots Opticians in-store team is seeking an Optical Assistant who will be the first and last point of contact for customers, helping them choose glasses and contact lenses and supporting eye-care services.

You’ll join our 'Step Into Optics' training programme, learn through workshops and on-the-job experience, and build strong customer relationships while maintaining shop floor standards and completing dispensing tasks.

Qualifications

• Passion for customer care.
• Enthusiasm for learning and personal development.
• Experience in a retail or clinical environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Order, dispense and collect glasses and contact lenses
• Support with eye-tests and pre-screening activities
• Provide aftercare support through repairs and adjustments
• Complete dispensing-related admin tasks and maintain shop floor standards
• Build relationships with customers on the shop floor
