Job summary

B&Q Sydenham is hiring a Customer Advisor on a full-time, 3-month fixed-term contract. Shifts cover 7.00am–10.00pm, with an hourly rate of £14.00 inclusive of a location allowance. As an expert advisor, you’ll guide customers, manage stock, and help set up displays to keep the store looking great.

You’ll be trained in paint mixing and timber cutting, but delivering excellent customer service will be your main aim. Flexible weekend/evening/on-bank-holiday availability is required.

Qualifications

• Friendly and outgoing, eager to learn.
• Able to work in a rota that includes weekends, evenings and bank holidays.
• Interested in home improvement and helping customers.

Responsibilities

• Sell products and advise customers on home improvement projects.
• Manage stock, set up displays and keep the store presentable.
• Opportunity to learn paint-mixing and timber cutting; customer service remains the focus.
