About Our Client:

Large British multinational company seeking an employment tax specialist

Job Responsibilities:
  • Support and contribute to the development and maintenance of employment tax policies
  • Develop knowledge of business areas and provide top-tier tax business partnering with stakeholders such as HR, Reward, Global Mobility, Legal, Company Secretarial, Employee Relations, Procurement, and Shared Services
  • Advise the business on a broad range of technical employment tax issues
  • Research and assist tax advisors on various tax advice and undertake ad hoc projects
  • Review and monitor employment tax compliance, filing, and payment obligations
  • Implement employment tax process improvements using technology and data solutions
  • Provide employment tax technical training to staff
  • Engage proactively with HMRC and other authorities on employment tax matters
  • Support the Senior Accounting Officer certification process for employment taxes
  • Monitor regulatory changes and communicate implications to the group
  • Assist in establishing lobbying positions on employment tax issues
Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience in an in-house tax team, a function with tax responsibilities, or a professional tax firm
  • Experience with employment tax compliance filings and payments
  • Technical expertise in employment taxes, expatriate & international employment taxes, off-payroll working, social security taxes, share plans, and corporate criminal offences
  • Chartered tax qualification or willingness to pursue one is desirable
