About Our Client:
Large British multinational company seeking an employment tax specialist
Job Responsibilities:
- Support and contribute to the development and maintenance of employment tax policies
- Develop knowledge of business areas and provide top-tier tax business partnering with stakeholders such as HR, Reward, Global Mobility, Legal, Company Secretarial, Employee Relations, Procurement, and Shared Services
- Advise the business on a broad range of technical employment tax issues
- Research and assist tax advisors on various tax advice and undertake ad hoc projects
- Review and monitor employment tax compliance, filing, and payment obligations
- Implement employment tax process improvements using technology and data solutions
- Provide employment tax technical training to staff
- Engage proactively with HMRC and other authorities on employment tax matters
- Support the Senior Accounting Officer certification process for employment taxes
- Monitor regulatory changes and communicate implications to the group
- Assist in establishing lobbying positions on employment tax issues
Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience in an in-house tax team, a function with tax responsibilities, or a professional tax firm
- Experience with employment tax compliance filings and payments
- Technical expertise in employment taxes, expatriate & international employment taxes, off-payroll working, social security taxes, share plans, and corporate criminal offences
- Chartered tax qualification or willingness to pursue one is desirable
