Job summary

KMA Legal Recruitment in Farnborough seeks an in-house Regulatory and Compliance Lawyer to support the firm’s regulatory function. You will advise on contracts, data protection, regulatory returns, complaints and M&A due diligence, leading the data rooms and DD reports while coordinating with COLP.

Job description

A leading regional Legal 500 law firm are seeking a regulatory and compliance manager to join them.

Role

You will join the firm’s office in Farnborough as an In-House Lawyer supporting the firm’s regulatory and compliance function.

You will report to the COLP offering legal advice on a variety of issues.

This will include reviewing and negotiating the firm’s procurement contracts, conducting data protection analysis, maintaining the firm’s legal documentation and managing and advising on regulatory returns and responses as well as complaints and claims. You will also lead the legal M&A process for business acquisitions including raising due diligence questionnaires and preparing DD reports, running data rooms and preparing and negotiating acquisition documents and ancillaries.

You will also offer legal advice to the compliance team on regulatory matters including SRA and data protection issues.

Candidate

You must have a strong understanding of regulatory and compliance law. It is important you are confident building rapport with internal stakeholders and should be able to work independently as well as part of a team. You will have at least 3 years experience in regulatory and compliance matters in a legal environment.

Prior experience in M&A matters and claims management is desirable and SRA qualification or equivalent legal qualification is essential.
