Job summary

Our client, a nationally respected membership organisation, seeks an In-House Employment Solicitor to advise senior education leaders on complex employment matters. The role involves a predominantly contentious caseload, with around 65% of work focused on litigation and tribunals.

You will conduct tribunals, draft pleadings and collaborate with the six-lawyer team, member-support colleagues and external solicitors to deliver high-quality service.

Qualifications

• Experience handling own employment caseload, including contentious matters.
• Strong experience in employment tribunal matters and complex disputes.
• Able to advise senior stakeholders with clear, practical guidance.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of employment, professional discipline and related matters, with around 65% of the work being contentious and litigation focused.
• Provide high quality employment advice and representation to senior leaders.
• Conduct employment tribunal and other proceedings, including drafting pleadings and preparing cases.
• Advise on professional discipline, regulatory matters and settlement agreements.
• Collaborate with the wider six-lawyer team, member support colleagues, external solicitors and barristers to deliver excellent service.
