BCL Legal is recruiting for an in-house Construction Solicitor (Legal Counsel) for a leading construction and infrastructure client in Greater Manchester. The role covers day-to-day advice on a broad range of matters, including standard form contracts (NEC, FIDIC, JCT), design and build, bid and tender support, and advising on ad hoc legal and commercial duties.

Qualifications

• 4–8 years PQE in construction law, with experience at a leading regional, national or international firm, or equivalent in-house department.
• Experience with NEC, FIDIC and some JCT contracts preferred but training will be provided.
• In-house role with exposure to high-value national/international projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day advice and support on a broad range of construction matters, including standard form (NEC, FIDIC and some JCT) contracts and bespoke arrangements.
• Instruct external advisers and support bid/tender activities; and advise on ad hoc legal and commercial duties.
• Support on design and build work, project advisory tasks and contract commercial aspects.
