Job summary

Active Care Group is seeking a Night Support Worker in Halesworth to assist a sociable gentleman at home with brain injury and complex health needs. You will help with daily living, rehabilitation, and community activities while supporting his recovery.

Role involves night shifts (2 or 4 x 10-hour nights), some day cover, and induction shadowing. Full training and ongoing support are provided, including medication support and PEG-J care.

Qualifications

• A clean manual driving licence.
• Confidence driving a wheelchair-accessible vehicle.
• Flexible and adaptable approach.
• The physical ability to support personal care, moving and handling and wheelchair use.
• Good written communication and basic computer skills.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A genuine interest in supporting someone to live a fulfilling life.
• Experience of complex care and supporting someone with a brain injury would be beneficial. Previous care experience is essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred support across daily living, personal care and rehabilitation.
• Support activities, medication and nutrition via PEG-J, moving and handling, therapy programmes and community outings.
• Drive the client's wheelchair-accessible vehicle.
• Full training is provided.
