Bryson Pathways Children’s Service is seeking a Family Support Worker to work directly with families in their homes, providing emotional and practical support so they can confidently manage daily life. You will build trusting relationships, promote parenting skills, support routines, and collaborate with social workers and other professionals to plan goals and review progress.

Competenze

• Minimum of QCF Level 3 Child Care qualification or equivalent.
• Diploma in Health & Social Care Level 3 Children & Young People or equivalent.
• NVQ Level 3 Children’s Care, Learning & Development.

• Provide guidance and encouragement to parents, promoting development of effective parenting skills through modelling and support.
• Assist families in establishing consistent daily routines and managing children’s behaviour constructively.
• Empower families to build self-confidence and boost self-esteem through strengths-based approaches.
• Work with children and families to address multiple and complex needs, improving family resilience and connections.
• Support a caseload of families and work in their homes for up to 12 weeks.
• Deliver interventions aimed at achieving measurable, positive outcomes for families and regularly evaluate progress.
• Manage a small caseload of families, providing home visiting support for up to 12 weeks, tailored to individual needs.
• Participate in case reviews, planning meetings, and multidisciplinary team discussions for coordinated support.
• Collaborate with social workers and other professionals to set goals tailored to each family’s needs.
• Participate in regular supervision and team meetings and keep accurate CRM records.

QCF Level 3 Child Care qualification

Diploma in Health & Social Care Level 3 Children & Young People

NVQ Level 3 Children’s Care, Learning & Development

CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Child Care & Education (VRQ)

CACHE Level 3 Extended Diploma in Child Care & Education (Wales and NI)

BTEC Higher National Diploma in Childcare Studies

BTEC National Diploma in Childcare Studies

Degree in Social Work

5 GCSEs at grade C and above including English Language

Clean drivers’ licence, access to transport and Business (Class) Car Insurance for the vehicle and driver
