Job summary

VSA is seeking a motivated Support Worker for the Care at Home team serving Bridge of Don, Bucksburn and Dyce areas. You will support clients in their own homes, helping with daily living, personal care and promoting independence while maintaining dignity and respect.

Hours are around 20 per week with a mix of permanent and relief shifts. Salary is £13.45 per hour; full training and development opportunities are provided.)

Qualifications

• Willingness to achieve SCQF Level 6 in Social Services and Healthcare within 3 years.
• Registration with Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) is required.
• Membership of the PVG scheme is required.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with service users and update records per guidelines.
• Maintain a safe environment by following health, safety and security procedures.
• Support service users with daily living, ensure dignity and respect, and promote independence.
• Encourage social interactions and help develop skills for independent living.
• Participate in personal plan development and reviews with service users.
