Support Assistant Role at Five Education in Bristol

Five Education is seeking to recruit an In-Class Support Assistant in Bristol. As a Support Assistant, you will work closely with children and young people with Special Education Needs (SEN) such as Autism or ADHD, and/or mental health challenges. Your role will involve providing extra help during lessons, breaks, and lunchtimes.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• No prior experience necessary; a can-do attitude, resilience, and initiative are essential.
• Availability from 8:30 to 15:30.
• Term-time work from ASAP to July, and from September onwards.
• Flexibility to work a minimum of two days per week; preference for five days a week.
• Right to work in the UK (valid visa).
• Two recent references covering the last 2 years.
• Relevant DBS/Police checks or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities:

• Supporting 1:1 or small groups in class.
• Helping pupils stay focused.
• Building strong relationships with pupils and staff to support their potential.
• Being empathetic, kind, and patient.

Additional Information:

• If you lack a Non-Voluntary Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, we can assist with processing a new one at a cost of £62.70, refundable after 20 days of employment.
