Job summary

IMS Compliance Officer role based in Wolverton within the QHSE team. You will maintain and improve Integrated Management Systems and ensure ISO 9001, 45001 and 14001 compliance.

You will lead internal and external audits, document control, warranty claims, SCARs and supplier communications, driving containment and continuous improvement across operations. A strong eye for detail, audit experience and knowledge of 8D methods will support cross-functional teams; excellent development opportunities

Qualifications

  • Experience as an ISO Systems Internal Auditor; Lead Auditor qualification would be advantageous but is not essential.
  • Experience developing, managing and implementing ISO Management Systems.
  • A minimum of three years' experience in quality engineering or a similar environment.
  • Previous experience working within a complaint handling or customer quality environment.
  • Experience working directly with customers and suppliers, including participation in meetings and conference calls.
  • The ability to understand and capture customer and supplier requirements throughout the complaints management process.
  • Experience of leading or supporting problem-solving teams and producing robust corrective and preventative action reports.
  • Knowledge and experience of 8D methodology and complementary problem-solving tools.
  • Strong communication skills and an excellent command of the English language.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent organisational skills, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • A calm and positive approach when working in a busy and fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective relationships with a range of stakeholders.
  • A conscientious, motivated and proactive approach, with a willingness to learn and ask questions.

Responsibilities

  • Undertaking and supporting internal and external audits of ISO 9001, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 Management Systems.
  • Supporting the Management Team in reviewing and maintaining elements of the Management System relevant to their operations.
  • Updating, publishing and maintaining Management System documentation and registers.
  • Controlling and maintaining the QHSE Management System database to ensure effective document control and compliance.
  • Coordinating the tools calibration process, including communication with internal and external stakeholders and maintaining relevant records and registers.
  • Coordinating customer warranty claims and providing clear and effective communication to customers and internal stakeholders regarding warranty and quality issues.
  • Managing Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs) and communicating outcomes with all relevant parties.
  • Ensuring NCRs, SCARs, warranty claims and other QHSE issues are accurately logged, acknowledged within agreed timescales and progressed through to satisfactory closure.
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to obtain the information required to investigate and close cases effectively.
  • Leading and supporting problem-solving activities to identify robust corrective and preventative actions.
  • Progressing and validating corrective actions from inception through to completion, using 8D methodology and other problem-solving tools.
  • Identifying and communicating opportunities for product, service and system improvements.
  • Monitoring, reviewing and reporting on key performance indicators, trends and failure data.

IMS Compliance Officer

Location: Wolverton
Department: QHSE
Reporting to: Head of QHSE
Position: Full Time
Hours: 37 hours per week
Holiday Entitlement: 25 days annual leave plus 8 Bank Holidays

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and detail-focused IMS Compliance Officer to join our QHSE team in Wolverton.

Reporting to the Head of QHSE, you will play a key role in maintaining and continually improving our Integrated Management Systems, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards.

This is a varied, hands-on role where you will support the wider business with internal and external audits, document control, warranty claims, tool calibration and Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs). You will work closely with internal teams, customers and suppliers to ensure QHSE matters are managed effectively, records are maintained accurately and improvement opportunities are identified.
