Job Description:

The Role

In this varied role, you will be part of the Operations Team focusing on Supply Chain, reporting to the Import Team Leader. Your responsibilities include managing the import of products into the UK from global suppliers.

Your main duties will include:

1. Building strong relationships with global suppliers to ensure smooth shipment and documentation processes.
2. Tracking shipments from origin to destination and resolving issues promptly.
3. Ensuring all shipping documentation is compliant, accurate, and filed timely.
4. Maintaining compliance with company policies and government regulations, including CHED P’s IUU notifications and certificates of inspection.
5. Dispatching necessary documentation to port authorities and shipping lines.
6. Staying updated on commodity codes, duty rates, import VAT, rules of origin, and customs procedures.
7. Maintaining trackers and spreadsheets related to shipments and imports.
8. Coordinating transportation from ports to avoid stock shortages or additional costs.
9. Collaborating with freight forwarders, warehouses, port authorities, and internal teams to provide excellent service.
10. Supporting sales ordering and stock management as needed.

We seek a passionate, dynamic individual eager to grow within the supply chain sector. Strong communication skills, team orientation, and a proactive approach are essential. Prior knowledge of customs clearance and importing food products is advantageous.

This is a site-based role; candidates must be able to commute to Surrey or plan to relocate. The role is also accessible from Sussex and South London.
