Job summary

Absolute Personnel Ltd is seeking an experienced Imports Clerk for a busy freight handling company in Wednesbury. The role covers road, sea and air freight from quotation to invoicing and is office-based with opportunities for progression.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years in import procedures, strong IT skills (MS Office) and excellent communication in a busy environment. Salary £33,000, 37.5 hours/week, pension options, and EV charging on site.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years experience in import procedures and processes.
• Excellent IT skills and proficient in MS Office.
• Great communication skills and ability to work in a busy environment.

Responsibilities

• Process enquiries and prepare quotations.
• Prepare and check import documentation.
• Prepare and supply information for customs.
• Track shipments and coordinate deliveries.
• Arrange transport with hauliers, shipping lines, airlines and freight forwarders.
• Liaise with customers, HMRC and agents.
• Ensure compliance and invoicing.
