Job summary

Frederick Gent School is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a committed team. You will work with teachers to support learning in line with the national curriculum and help students achieve their best.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with patience and empathy. Experience with pupils with SEND or behavioural needs is advantageous. This is a permanent role, working 37 hours per week during term time plus INSET days.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills and empathy, listening and interpersonal skills when dealing with children, colleagues and parents/carers.

Responsibilities

• Support learning in line with the national curriculum, codes of practice, policies and procedures.
• Work in partnership with teachers to support learning.
• Assist students with varying degrees of learning, behavioural, communication, social, sensory or physical difficulties.
