Job summary

Edgar Wood Academy is a modern secondary school serving Middleton and Heywood. We seek a dedicated role to raise attainment, support students with SEND and promote inclusion.

You will work with teachers and support staff to deliver targeted interventions and mentoring, using your specialist knowledge in SEND, SEMH, literacy or numeracy. Qualifications

• At least 5 GCSEs including English and Maths.
• Experience supporting students with SEND or behavioural needs.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside teachers and support staff to raise learning and attainment.
• Provide targeted support for students with SEND, reducing barriers to learning.
• Encourage independence, self-esteem and inclusion for all students.
• Lead small group interventions and offer mentoring support.
• Use specialist knowledge to make a meaningful impact.
