Provit Recruitment is partnering with an organisation providing Alternative Provision into various settings across the Midlands. We are seeking a resilient, proactive Teaching Assistant to support learners who require additional help to thrive in education.

The role involves 1:1 and small group support, promoting engagement and positive behaviour, and assisting with classroom delivery. DOE salary £22,000–£33,000, full-time term time plus training days.

Qualifications

• Teaching Assistant qualification is essential.
• Experience in schools or educational settings.
• Experience supporting learners with behavioural, emotional, SEND, or additional learning needs.

Responsibilities

• Support learners on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
• Promote engagement, attendance, and positive behaviour.
• Support emotional regulation and pastoral wellbeing.
• Assist with classroom delivery and learning activities.
• Help create a calm, inclusive, and structured environment.
• Support educational visits and enrichment activities.
• Maintain safeguarding and learner welfare standards.
• Build positive, consistent relationships with young people.
