Job summary

Serco Group plc invites applications for a TC Forensic Psychologist in our Psychological Services team at HMP Dovegate. You will deliver assessments, provide therapy groups, and support risk management to help residents progress toward safer futures.

You will prepare parole reports, collaborate with healthcare, offender management and education teams, and supervise Forensic Psychologists in Training. HCPC registration or near-qualified status is required.

Qualifications

• Registered Forensic Psychologist with HCPC or a trainee close to registration.
• Experience delivering psychological assessment and intervention within a forensic setting.
• Knowledge of approaches to violent offending, personality disorders and therapeutic interventions.

Responsibilities

• Deliver psychological assessments including HCR-20, SARA, WAIS, IPDE and PCL-R as required.
• Facilitate therapy groups and support residents throughout their therapeutic journey, including risk reduction work.
• Complete parole reports and other clinical reports within required deadlines.
• Collaborate with healthcare, offender management, education and other professionals to support resident outcomes.
• Provide supervision and line management support to Forensic Psychologists in Training where appropriate.
• Support the delivery and continuous improvement of Psychological Services within the Therapeutic Community.
