Job summary

Turning Point UK in Carlisle is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to assist adults with learning disabilities, autism, and challenging behaviour. You will help with daily living activities, personal care, and community access, in a person-centred way. The role is 24-hour and requires flexibility across shifts, including nights and some weekends.

Ideal candidates are passionate, caring, patient, with good communication and teamwork skills. Driving is desirable but not essential.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting adults with learning disabilities.
• Good communication skills.
• Able to undertake personal care tasks.

Responsibilities

• Support adults with learning disabilities and challenging behaviour.
• Provide personal care to people we support.
• Assist with daily activities at home and in the community.
• Maintain accurate recording and documentation.
• Promote independence and person-centred support.
