Job summary

The City of Edinburgh Council is recruiting a Social Worker for the Justice Practice Team in Edinburgh. The role focuses on assessment of risk and supervision of individuals within the Criminal Justice System, aligning with National Outcomes and Standards to protect the public.

• Social Work qualification recognised by the SSSC.
• Be registered, or eligible to register, with the SSSC.
• Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess risk and supervise individuals subject to Court Orders and post-release supervision.
• Work within the Criminal Justice System in line with National Outcomes and Standards.
• Support a diverse and inclusive workforce and promote lived experience inclusion.
• Complete pre-employment PVG Scheme checks and Overseas Criminal Record checks where required.
