Job summary

The City of Edinburgh Council is recruiting a Social Worker to join the Justice Pathways Service, focusing on trauma-informed practice, early intervention and groupwork. The post is a fixed-term role until 31 March 2027 and based at Grindlay Court Social Work Centre.

You will assess and report, supervise in the community and custody, contribute to risk and safety planning, and develop and deliver groupwork programmes. A Social Work degree and SSSC registration are required; PVG checks apply.

Qualifications

• Degree in Social Work and registration with the SSSC.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to work in a dynamic environment with diverse clients.

Responsibilities

• Assessment and report writing.
• Supervising and responding to service users in the community and in custody.
• Contributing to multi-agency risk and safety planning and management.
