Job summary

The City of Edinburgh Council is recruiting five Justice Workers in Edinburgh to support the Court Team, Justice Pathways Service and Justice Practice Team. Roles involve assessments, court reports and interventions to promote community safety, with flexible site work across locations.

Candidates should have SVQ3 in Health and Social Care or an equivalent qualification, and PVG scheme checks will apply. This is a permanent role focused on inclusive practice and collaboration with partner

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good understanding of the needs of people within the Justice system.
• Willing to work across sites in response to service demand.

Responsibilities

• Assessment and support for people appearing at Court from custody, including reports to Court.
• Supervising people subject to Bail Supervision and helping them comply with bail conditions.
• Providing community outreach support and developing interventions.
• Liaising with partner agencies and other teams within Justice Services.
• Completing Home Detention Curfew Assessments where eligible for early release.
