Job summary

Tripod Partners seeks a Qualified Social Worker to join the Children Looked After Team in Swindon, delivering high-quality support for looked after children and care leavers.

You will manage caseloads, conduct assessments, draft care plans, and attend statutory visits, ensuring safeguarding and best interests are upheld. This is a temporary, full-time position with a dedicated recruitment consultant.

Qualifications

• Recognised Social Work qualification required.
• Current Social Work England registration must be held.
• Experience with Looked After Children is preferred.
• Strong assessment, report-writing and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of Looked After Children.
• Complete assessments, care plans and statutory visits.
• Safeguard children and promote welfare and best interests.
• Collaborate with foster carers, families and partner agencies.
• Attend reviews and contribute to care proceedings as required.
• Support children to achieve positive long-term outcomes.
