Job summary

SENse Learning in the United Kingdom is actively recruiting SEND Teachers to provide one-to-one support for students with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD and PMLD. Roles span SEND Tutor, Intervention Tutor, and Specialist Teacher across home, community, and remote settings.

You will work as a self-employed tutor, with flexible hours and a schedule arranged with families or schools. The role emphasizes trauma-informed, bespoke learning, with ongoing interviews as applications are received.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of post-NQT teaching experience, ideally with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and/or PMLD in a holistic, trauma-informed approach.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS / QTLS).
• Child-centred and holistic approach with ability to adapt the curriculum to individual needs.
• Enhanced DBS and 2+ professional references.
• Based in the UK with right to work; safeguarding knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Develop strong relationships with children and young people with a range of needs.
• Provide in person, online/remote, and hybrid support tailored to EHCPs and risk assessments.
• Plan and report for lessons and provide regular feedback on student progress.
• Support pupils from KS1–KS5 as appropriate to your skills.
