Job summary

Teaching Tomorrow is seeking dedicated SEND Teaching Assistants to support primary schools across Bedfordshire. You will work with teachers and SENCOs to provide tailored help for pupils with a range of needs, including one-to-one or small-group support.

Responsibilities include assisting pupils to access the curriculum, developing confidence and independence, and adapting activities to meet individual plans. A supportive, collaborative approach is valued.

Qualifications

• Ability to support pupils with SEND and adapt to individual plans.
• Strong communication with teachers, SENCOs and parents.
• Demonstrated patience, resilience and empathy in school settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and small-group support to pupils with SEND.
• Help pupils access the curriculum and participate in class activities.
• Support development of confidence, independence and social skills.
• Assist with delivery of engaging, inclusive learning activities.
• Adapt activities to meet individual pupil needs and plans.
• Support positive behaviour and emotional regulation strategies.
• Build positive relationships with pupils and staff across school settings.
• Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, parents and professionals where appropriate.
