Job summary

Protocol Education Limited is seeking dedicated SEND Teaching Assistants to support pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities in specialist and mainstream settings. You will help pupils access learning, develop social skills, and achieve positive outcomes both in and out of the classroom.

This role offers flexible placements across various schools, with weekly PAYE pay and access to CPD training through Protocol Education’s SEND consultancy.

Qualifications

• Left: You don't need previous school experience; transferable skills welcome.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with children with diverse needs.
• Willingness to learn and engage with SEND strategies.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils 1:1 and in small groups.
• Assist with SEND needs including Autism, ADHD, Speech & Language needs, SEMH.
• Promote engagement, independence and participation in learning.
• Build trusting relationships to create safe, supportive environments.
• Work with teachers, therapists and school staff.
• Support emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies.
• Help create an inclusive learning environment.
• Celebrate pupil progress and achievements.
