Job summary

Ormiston Victory Academy, part of Ormiston Academies Trust, is seeking a focused SEND Learning & Teaching Assistant to support KS3 students. You will deliver 1:1 and small group interventions, help eliminate barriers to progress and collaborate with teaching staff to enhance student outcomes.

The role requires experience with SEND, strong interpersonal skills, and a proactive, student-centered approach. An induction programme and ongoing staff development are provided.

Qualifications

• Previous experience of working with young people with special educational needs in an education setting.
• The relevant skills to deliver 1:1 intervention, small group social communication and interactive interventions.
• The ability to form positive relationships and work effectively with other key staff.
• A willingness to undertake training and attend meetings when necessary.
• NVQ level 2 in related area or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Deliver 1:1 intervention and small group social communication activities.
• Support students to engage, participate and progress in lessons.
• Establish positive relationships with students and staff.
• Attend training sessions and meetings as required.
