Job summary

GSL Education is seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to work in outstanding schools in Basingstoke. The position offers daily supply and long-term placements, with a focus on supporting pupils with a range of additional needs alongside teachers and the SENCO.

You will provide one-to-one or small group support, help deliver engaging lessons, and assist with learning, social development, and emotional wellbeing. Safeguarding checks and enhanced DBS are required.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting pupils with SEN in a school setting.
• Excellent communication and teamwork to support learners.
• Ability to build trusted relationships with pupils and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEN.
• Assist the class teacher in delivering inclusive lessons.
• Support pupils learning, social development and wellbeing.
• Adapt activities to meet individual needs and promote engagement.
• Record and report pupil progress as required.
