Job summary

Teaching Personnel is recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils with Special Educational Needs in West Yorkshire from September. You will work across specialist schools and may be involved in 1:1 or small group support, personal care, and helping pupils access learning.

We welcome applicants from education, care, health, or related backgrounds who are passionate about SEN. Ongoing CPD and chances to secure permanent roles are available.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people is desirable.
• Passion for SEN and inclusion in education.
• Commitment to safeguarding and welfare.

Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups.
• Providing personal care when needed.
• Moving and handling as required.
• Supporting communication with pupils and staff.
• Helping pupils access learning and participate in activities.
• Collaborating with teachers and therapists.
