Kisimul Group is recruiting a Qualified Teacher for SEN to join our Education Team at Swinderby, Lincoln. You will deliver an engaging, person-centred curriculum for pupils aged 9–18 with complex learning needs, working in a supportive environment with therapy input.

Experience with autism and neurodiverse approaches is desirable. Full training is provided, and visits to the school are encouraged to understand our Meaningful Life ethos and commitment to safeguarding.

Qualifications

• Must have appropriate teaching Qualification (QTS or QTLS).
• Be an outstanding practitioner, with a passion for working with children with complex learning needs.
• Knowledge of autism, and an understanding of neurodiverse approaches to education desirable
• Experience of teaching of working with a range of age phases is desirable.

• Establish and maintain good working relationships to promote the development and effective delivery of the school curriculum and maximise our young people’s achievement.
• Teaching students according to their educational needs and acknowledging that every interaction counts.
• Creating a safe and well-regulated teaching space that will ensure the educational well-being of individual children within the group.
• Following agreed and consistent strategies to support young people alongside school, therapeutic services and residential colleagues.
• Ensuring careful and ongoing assessment of learning to inform further planning and next steps.
• Ensuring that tasks and activities are matched to the ability of the children- allowing them to make meaningful progress and skills and knowledge that can be applied in real life context.
• Working within a team of like minded professionals, using team work and humour to ensure a cohesive and supportive education community.
• Liaising effectively with parents and a wide range of professionals.
