Job summary

Academics is seeking a compassionate SEN Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming school in Hillingdon. This part-time, term-time role offers 30 hours per week and starts in January, working alongside experienced staff to support children with additional needs.

You will provide 1:1 or small-group assistance, help adapt learning materials, and contribute to a positive, inclusive learning environment focused on pupil progress and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Experience as SEN Learning Support Assistant or similar role
• Calm, patient and empathetic approach
• Strong communication skills with staff and pupils

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 or small-group support for pupils with SEN
• Assist with personalised learning activities and adapt resources
• Support emotional regulation and behaviour when needed
• Work closely with class teachers and the SENCO
• Help create an inclusive, safe learning environment
