Job summary

Academics are recruiting a dedicated SEN Learning Support Assistant to work in primary schools across Cannock and the surrounding South Staffs areas. The role focuses on helping pupils with a range of additional needs access learning and reach their potential.

The ideal candidate will have Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, experience with SEN, Autism or ADHD, be patient and adaptable, and willing to travel between schools. Daily pay ranges from £93 to £110.

Qualifications

• Has Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or recent, relevant experience).
• Experience supporting children with SEN in primary settings.
• Willing to travel to Cannock and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with Special Educational Needs.
• Support children inside and outside the classroom to encourage engagement and independence.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, teachers and support staff.
• Work across a variety of primary schools in Cannock and surrounding areas.
• Assist in creating a safe, inclusive learning environment for every child.
