Job summary

Protocol Education is recruiting a full-time Behaviour Mentor in Bedlington to support pupils with SEMH needs. Ideal for Social Work graduates or those with experience helping children and families.

You’ll provide 1:1 mentoring, support emotional wellbeing, encourage positive behaviour, build relationships and work with pastoral teams to track progress. All applicants must meet safeguarding requirements and complete DBS checks.

Qualifications

• Social Work graduates or those with relevant experience working with children and families.
• Experience supporting pupils with emotional and behavioural needs is desirable.
• Commitment to safeguarding and professional development.

Responsibilities

• Providing 1:1 mentoring support.
• Supporting emotional wellbeing of students.
• Encouraging positive behaviour choices.
• Building trusted relationships with pupils.
• Delivering targeted interventions.
• Supporting attendance and engagement.
• Working alongside pastoral teams.
• Celebrating pupil progress.
