Job summary

Burnley FC in the Community (BFCitC) is seeking a Mental Wellbeing Worker to support pupils in assigned secondary schools across Burnley. You will deliver targeted mental wellbeing interventions, group work and psychoeducational activities to improve emotional resilience and overall wellbeing.

Working with school staff, families and external agencies, you will carry a caseload, complete assessments, and help implement safeguarding and confidential practice standards while delivering high

Qualifications

• Degree in Psychology, Counselling, Mental Health, or a related discipline.
• Experience of supporting young people with mild to moderate mental health difficulties.
• Experience of delivering both one-to-one and group-based interventions.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality 1:1 interventions and group sessions for young people with mild to moderate mental health difficulties.
• Complete initial assessments and contribute to support plans.
• Develop positive therapeutic relationships and empower young people.
• Assess and manage risk, escalating where appropriate in line with safeguarding.
• Maintain accurate case notes and caseload management.
