Job summary

Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust Children’s Speech and Language Therapy Service is seeking a Band 5 therapist to join the school-aged pathway in a large, supportive team serving Lewisham and SE London. You will access supervision, training and a broad network of therapists across special schools, Early Years and Complex Needs.

The role offers induction, ongoing supervision, a dedicated buddy, admin time and access to CPD, with opportunities to contribute to education staff training and service

Qualifications

• Recognised Speech and Language Therapy degree or equivalent.
• Health Professions Council licence to practise.
• Registration as a member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists.
• Desirable: competence/willingness to undertake relevant advanced training/post qualification training.

Responsibilities

• Provide a comprehensive and inclusive speech and language therapy service for children and young people referred to the School-Aged Team.
• Contribute to the development and provision of training packages for parents, carers and education/health staff.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary colleagues to achieve effective outcomes and service improvement.
