Job summary

Central London Community Healthcare (CLCH) invites applications for a Band 6 Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to join the Westminster and Kensington and Chelsea Schools Team on a fixed-term contract until August 2028.

The role focuses on delivering the Confident Communicators Programme for 4–6-year-olds in mainstream schools, working alongside teachers, SLTs, and parents to develop communication skills and support curriculum access.

Qualifications

• Qualified SLT with HCPC registration and RCSLT membership.
• Experience with SLCN in education settings preferred.
• Ability to supervise and train others.

Responsibilities

• Assess the need for, develop and implement SLT treatment for children with speech, language and communication needs.
• Analyse auditory, visual and kinaesthetic aspects of communication and identify strategies to support home, school and other settings.
• Make clinical decisions using evidence-based practice and defined care plans.
• Provide differential diagnoses based on assessment.
• Demonstrate clinical effectiveness using outcome measures relevant to SLT.
