Job summary

Waythrough is seeking a Criminal Justice Recovery Navigator to work across multiple sites around Barnsley. The role focuses on supporting individuals with substance use issues within criminal justice settings, using a whole-person approach and coordinating with Police, Probation, prisons and other agencies.

You will manage caseloads, perform triage and comprehensive assessments, and facilitate access to treatment and community resources to promote recovery and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Direct experience not essential; understanding of substance misuse and criminal justice context.

Responsibilities

• Manage a service user caseload and review recovery plans with the service team.
• Carry out triage and comprehensive assessments with service users.
• Collaborate with partner agencies to undertake shared assessments and interventions.
• Facilitate access to treatment and community resources to support recovery.
• Lead case management including risk assessments and safeguarding plans.
• Provide reports and updates to managers and colleagues as required.
• Identify and prevent potential harm following safeguarding guidelines.
