Job summary

Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner for a three-month post within the Psychology Trauma team. The role focuses on assessing service users and delivering low-intensity CBT-based interventions in person, by phone, by video, in groups and via computerised programmes.

Hours are 37.5 per week on weekday shifts; registration with BPS or BABCP and prior PWP experience are required to perform effectively within this setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in a relevant field with 2:2 or above.
• Professional registration with BPS or BABCP is required.
• Experience as a PWP or trainee in community mental health settings.

Responsibilities

• Carry out patient-centred interviews and assessments.
• Deliver low-intensity CBT-based interventions.
• Support recovery through face-to-face, telephone and video work, group workshops and computerised CBT.
• Deliver outcome-focused interventions and seek supervision when needed.
• Assess risk to self and others and act with safeguarding guidance.
