Job summary

Cornwall Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting for a PWP to deliver low-intensity psychological interventions within NHS Talking Therapies across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. You will conduct assessments, run one-to-one and group sessions by telephone, video, or in person, and support step-ups to more senior clinicians.

The role involves outreach, evening clinics, and working with diverse communities; newly qualifying practitioners may apply contingent on training completion.

Qualifications

• Degree in IAPT Low Intensity Psychological Therapies Practice (PWP) required.
• Completed PWP training from an accredited Low Intensity course.
• PWP registration or eligibility required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver low-intensity psychological interventions to help patients manage mental health difficulties.
• Carry out clinical assessments of patients.
• Run clinical contacts face to face, by telephone, by video and in group courses, remotely or in person.
• Deliver CBT as part of the clinical caseload.
• Discuss cases with step 3 and/or step 4 clinicians for step-ups and referrals.
• Maintain patient dignity and confidentiality at all times.
• Carry out community outreach to promote the service to other services, educational settings and careers events.
• Take part in promotional work for the service.
• Work with people from different cultural backgrounds and ages, using interpreters where needed.
• Work weekday hours between 8am and 8pm; attend evening clinics 5pm-8pm.
