Job summary

Tees, Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner to deliver low intensity interventions to adults with mild to moderate anxiety and depression. The role involves flexibly delivering sessions in person, by telephone, video and digital platforms within the Durham & Darlington Talking Therapies service.

The successful candidate will be BABCP/BPS accredited or working towards accreditation, with opportunities for clinical supervision, CPD

Qualifications

• PWP qualifications from a BABCP/BPS accredited programme/apprenticeship.
• Accredited with BABCP or BPS as a PWP (or working towards accreditation within 6 months).
• If qualifying via apprenticeship route, must have passed apprenticeship end point assessment.
• Key skills in literacy, numeracy and IT.
• Core profession in mental health nursing, social work, occupational therapy or psychology.

Responsibilities

• Conduct one to one Guided Self Help sessions (face to face or remote).
• Conduct reviews using the SilverCloud computerised CBT package.
• Provide support to Online Psychoeducational Classes.
• Conduct Single Point of Access assessment appointments.
• Facilitate referrals to other health care providers (physical and mental health).
• Engage in clinical and managerial supervision.
