Job summary

Northamptonshire Healthcare Foundation Trust is seeking a qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner to deliver high-volume, low-intensity talking therapies across the service. The role covers Corby, Kettering, Wellingborough and related areas with blended working options.

You will assess referrals, provide brief interventions via multiple modalities, collaborate with senior colleagues and contribute to patient care records and training of others.

Qualifications

• PG Cert LI Interventions or equivalent qualification in talking therapies.
• Minimum 18 months working with people with common mental health problems.
• 12 months experience in a Talking Therapies service.
• Experience in a primary care mental health service and local community.

Responsibilities

• Assess new referrals via telephone assessments and provide short-term, low-intensity interventions via telephone, online and face-to-face appointments.
• Work closely with Step 3 and Step 4 colleagues and external services to support safe onward referrals and step-ups.
• Maintain patient dignity, confidentiality and inclusivity in all interactions.
