Job summary

Stantec in the UK seeks a Senior or Principal Hydrogeologist to join our UK water team with flexible base from offices across Reading, High Wycombe, Shrewsbury, Birmingham, Glasgow or Edinburgh. You will lead diverse hydrogeological projects, communicate results to clients, and mentor junior colleagues.

You will work across field monitoring, drilling supervision, pumping tests, data analytics, and groundwater modelling within multidisciplinary teams, with backing to pursue chartership.

Qualifications

• Masters/ PhD in hydrogeology or equivalent post-graduate experience.
• Ability to communicate with clients clearly and navigate regulatory environments.
• Experience leading hydrogeology projects and mentoring juniors.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver hydrogeological work across varied UK projects.
• Communicate findings clearly to clients and stakeholders.
• Mentor and develop junior hydrogeologists in multidisciplinary teams.
• Oversee field monitoring, drilling supervision, and pumping-test design.
• Apply data analytics, groundwater modelling, and geochemical analyses.
