Job summary

Randstad Education is seeking a Primary Teaching Assistant to support pupils across Key Stage 1 and 2 in West Sussex and Surrey. You will work directly with class teachers to guide small groups, deliver 1:1 support, and help raise pupil confidence, with competitive weekly pay (£90-£105 per day).

The role offers flexible working arrangements (full-time or day-to-day shifts) and the opportunity to fit around your schedule while contributing to a positive classroom environment across multiple

Qualifications

• Proven experience supporting primary school children.
• Foundational understanding of KS1 & KS2.
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service or willingness to complete one.

Responsibilities

• Deliver small-group interventions in literacy and numeracy.
• Provide targeted 1:1 support to pupils.
• Foster an inclusive classroom and positive learning environment.
• Assist with classroom management and resource organisation.
• Adapt educational materials to different learning paces and styles.
• Promote pupil autonomy and problem-solving.
• Support positive conduct and peer collaboration.
