Job summary

Randstad Education is seeking a Primary Teaching Assistant to support pupils in West Sussex or Surrey. You will work alongside teachers to guide small groups and provide 1:1 support across KS1 and KS2, helping children gain confidence and fluency.

The role offers flexible full-time or part-time placements with competitive weekly pay and local consultant support throughout the Surrey and West Sussex networks.

Qualifications

• Proven experience supporting primary school-aged children.
• Good understanding of KS1 and KS2 curricula.
• Patient, proactive communication style.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• Enhanced DBS via Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Deliver small-group interventions to boost literacy and numeracy.
• Provide targeted 1:1 learning support.
• Foster an inclusive classroom environment.
• Assist with classroom setup, resources, and lesson flow.
