Job summary

You will deliver small-group literacy and numeracy interventions, assist teachers with resource preparation, and help create an inclusive classroom. A local consultant and streamlined booking app support your flexible role.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting primary school children in educational settings.
• Familiar with Key Stage 1/2 curricula and classroom routines.
• Patient, proactive communicator with pupils and staff.
• Willingness to obtain/update DBS clearance promptly.

Responsibilities

• Deliver focused small-group interventions to improve literacy and numeracy attainment.
• Provide structured 1:1 academic support to pupils requiring extra assistance.
• Foster an inclusive, warm, and high-energy learning environment.
• Assist class teachers in preparing learning spaces and organizing resources.
• Adapt materials and visuals to suit different learning paces.
• Encourage pupil autonomy, problem-solving, and self-reliance during activities.
• Model positive conduct and support collaborative peer interactions.
• Monitor pupil engagement and provide progress feedback to the class teacher.
