Qualifications

• Experience as a Teaching Assistant in a school setting.
• Genuine passion for supporting children's education and development.
• Patient, approachable and encouraging personality.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to adapt approach to different learning needs.
• Good organisation, initiative and a positive attitude.
• Understanding of safeguarding and pupil wellbeing.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Enhanced DBS certificate or willingness to undergo checks.

Responsibilities

• Support the class teacher with daily lessons, activities and learning objectives.
• Provide additional support to individual pupils and small groups to build confidence.
• Encourage positive behaviour, active participation and a love of learning.
• Help prepare classroom resources and engaging learning materials.
• Support pupils who need guidance to access the curriculum.
• Contribute to a calm, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
• Observe pupils' engagement and progress, sharing feedback with staff.
• Promote pupil wellbeing and adherence to safeguarding and health & safety procedures.
