Job summary

TeacherActive Limited is recruiting experienced Teaching Assistants, Learning Support Assistants and HLTAs to support primary schools across Leeds and the surrounding areas. Positions range from day-to-day supply to longer-term placements, with flexibility to fit your availability and preferences.

Your role involves supporting pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2, assisting teachers, and helping children build confidence, independence and social skills.

Qualifications

• Experience as Teaching Assistant, LSA or HLTA.
• Experience across EYFS, KS1 or KS2.
• Confident working in different schools.
• Relevant TA/LSA/HLTA qualifications where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Support class teachers with daily lessons and activities.
• Work with pupils individually or in small groups.
• Provide additional support to children with SEND.
• Help pupils develop confidence and social skills.
• Support classroom behaviour and positive learning.
• Deliver planned learning activities where appropriate.
• Provide additional cover for HLTA-qualified candidates.
• Follow safeguarding procedures and school policies.
